About EZWishlist
The whole idea fits in one handwritten line:
make it easy to get it right
Getting it right is surprisingly hard. The people who care about you want to give you something you actually want, and mostly they end up guessing: duplicate gifts, spoiled surprises, and the ninth coffee mug. EZWishlist exists to take the guessing out, for both sides.
You make one list with items from any store: paste a link, type a name in, or scan a barcode. Friends claim things in two taps with no account, buy them wherever they like, and claimed items show as taken so nobody buys the same thing twice. You never see who is getting what, so the surprise survives.
Not only for gifts
Some of our favorite lists have nothing to do with birthdays. Teachers keep a classroom list stocked all year, food pantries post what the shelves are missing, and a first apartment needs the boring things nobody gifts. Anyone can follow a list and hear when something new is added, so a list can live exactly as long as the need does.
Free, and how
Building and sharing a list is free, with no premium tier and no cut of anything. When a gifter clicks through to a store, some stores pay us a small commission. It never changes your price, and we never handle the money: you check out at the store itself, like always.
We also never reveal to a list owner who claimed or bought something, and we never sell personal information. The full details live on the privacy page.
Questions or ideas? We read everything. Say hello.
